Oliver Kita Confections
Oliver Kita Confections crafts top-notch artisan chocolates with exotic fruits, flowers, herbs, nuts and spices.
When I opened up my box of Oliver Kita's Studio Collection, the chocolate was almost too pretty to eat! They look like little sculptures covered in beautiful artwork. The presentation alone blew my mind so I was excited to see how these chocolates would taste!
I took out the little flavor card which offers names of each chocolate and elegant descriptions of their flavors and was impressed by the fine detailing and fancy wording.
The chocolates look good and sound good, but does the taste live up to the fancy appearance?
Of course it does. The Studio Collection uses a wide range of flavors, textures and ingredients to create piece after piece of gourmet chocolate. Each and every bite contains bold flavors and deep undertones ranging from floral to fruity.
The Studio collection is not a typical box of cheap chocolates you give as a "last minute" gift. This is chocolate at it's full potential, which is so much more flavorful and elegant than the ol' Hershey bar.
There's not a chocolate in the Studio Collection that I don't like, but there are a few that stand out for me:
The Lavandre Citronade (Lavender with Lime) - A burst of fresh citrus that really caught me off guard.
The Shiki Matcha Crunch - I got no crunch from this but the creamy white chocolate against with the green tea filling is so smooth and blended perfectly into white chocolate heaven.
The Caramel de SEL (Pink Salt Caramel) - So smooth and buttery with a sprinkle of sea salt.
Oliver Kita's chocolates are totally gift-worthy for your friends/family this Christmas. You can find the Studio Collection here.
Oh, and If I ever recieve a cheap-o Whitman's sampler as a gift again, I'm throwing it at the person that gave it to me and telling them to go away. If you're going to give someone chocolate/edible gifts then make sure they're high quality like the ones at Oliver Kita!
Jingle Score: 10/10
